Apartment buildings are generally owned and managed by one company (as opposed to numerous landlords within the one building). While once popular, apartment buildings aren’t as numerous these days, especially in areas such as downtown Toronto where they have been largely replaced with newer condominiums.

Houses

You can find a variety of houses for rent depending on the neighbourhood you want to live in and your budget. You could rent an entire townhouse, semi-detached, or even a detached home. You can also find apartments within these homes, such as basement apartments.

Condominiums

Renting a condo has many perks, including access to amenities such as gyms, pools, concierge services, and even party rooms. Because they have become more popular, especially in urban centres like Toronto, condos are often found in the best locations with good access to transit and neighbourhood amenities such as cafes, grocery stores, and restaurants.
